Working with Long Exposure

My project is working with long exposures. In my shots, I try to use manipulate the camera's settings to create trails of light that wouldn't normally be observed in a short exposure photo. The photos so far use vehicles for their speed in creating motion through the picture. I also usually shoot on the same level as the cars. Only in one of the photos do I find a different vantage point to shoot photos.

  1. These photos are really cool and I like the concept behind them. I think the ones at night are a lot stronger because of the colors and the movement. I would work on making the daytime ones more interesting by focusing on more than one subject at a time, like a whole street other than one car.

  2. as always im really impressed with your photos. i love the last three photos the best because i think that relate most to light exposer. i think the second to last is awesome because you moved the camera to create a slight squiggle line. i think that your first is your weakest because the color in it is every weak so it just looks like fuzzy colors

  3. Cool photos. I think your fifth photo is the strongest out of all of these, the angle is good and the picture looks like something out of a videogame. Some of the day pictures feel a little bland to me is my main critisism. Otherwise nice work.

  4. Nice photos. It seems that the pictures you took at night were the best since the light trails a more visible and dramatic. The last three photos are the best Id say. I feel like the bike photo didn't work as well since the light trails weren't visible. Nice set anyways

  5. This series is going really well so far in my opinion, the last few are the strongest, it really captures the long exposure. The photos during the day are an interesting change from the ones at night, while not as cool, they capture a different style.

  8. These are amazing. I really like the how the long shutter speed makes the cars look like a beam of light. I additionally really enjoy the picture of the car in focus while its background it completely out of focus. Those were your stronger pictures
