Long Exposure #2/Motion

This week I changed the way I took photos. Although the photos at night seemed more successful, I didn't have the time to go out due to homework or rain. Instead, I had to change the way I shot during the day. Instead of panning the camera, I tried to zoom inwards and outwards while the shutter was open. This created a kind of "pull focus" that allowed me to focus on non-vehicular subjects. Again I shot in the landscape orientation and due to the nature of zooming with an open shutter, the focus seems to be in the exact center of the photo. However, there is a photo where the focus is in the corner... I am not sure how I got that...

  1. These photos are all really cool and although I liked the night ones in the previous set I thought that these day ones were much more interesting than the last because of the focus. Maybe next time you can add this focus to night shots to combine the two.

  2. this is a great set. i like how in this set you moved away from manipulating light to motion pics, i think this is a great transfer. i also like how in each photo there is a focus point. my favorite is your second photo. the leading lines really work with well with the motion park of the photo and i also like how you have a focus point in that photo. great work

  3. Nice set. The motion pictures are a nice change from the light pictures. Have you tried black and white? It would be nice to see what they look like. I think your last photo is the best. The sign is a clear subject.
